Recumbent Linear Stepper for Seniors

"Unable to reach the knob for swivel seat and tension on Stepper is extremely tight even on 1. How long will it take for the Stepper to loosen up?"

recumbant stepper

"I think it is the best thing I have done for myself in a very long time. I am 77 years and have some health issues, so I don't walk or exercise. But this unit is great. every day, I put on a CD and watch a movie or show and now my ankles are thin. no more swelling. My calfs have some definition and my flabby arms are finnally get a little tone. So thnk you"

Defective Item with Poor Follow Up

"This machine looked perfect for my elderly mother, who broke both knees in a bad fall. However, we received a defective item and HCI has been less than helpful. The item came mostly assembled, including where the pistons are attached. However, instead of there being resistance when you push/press your foot on the pedal, all the resistance is when pulling your leg inward/bending the knee. This obviously doesn’t make sense and I know the product is not meant to work like this because the video shows people using it without the foot straps, which would be impossible with the machine I received. After reaching out multiple times and having to send a video because they apparently didn’t understand what I meant, they sent out replacement pistons only…even though I told them they were preassembled and we have zero instructions on how to install them. I let them know again once I received the replacement pistons. Someone said they’d get back to me but I’m still waiting. Very disappointed."

Game changer for Mom

"The recumbent steppe has really made a difference in my mothers strength and leg circulation. She is not walking so getting on a machine seems like a herculean task. Because of the swivel seat, we are able to get her in and out of the stepper easily. She likes to step while watching TV and she can take a break when she gets tired, so that has led to hr wanting to step everyday. Its been a great investment in her health as we are working to recover from a neurological disorder. She says she feels stronger on the days she steps."

Overall happy, but with some caveats.

"Overall we are very pleased with the Recumbent Linear Stepper for Seniors. It appears well made and of sufficient quality that it should last us a long time. There are a few downsides that might be of interest. Installation required additional tools other than the provided tools to sufficiently tighten the joints (2 people needed for us to put this together). We’ll most likely not both be using this, as it requires sliding the entire chair side of the unit to shorten or lengthen the distance to the foot pedals. We have not been able to adjust the Step Length - either it takes a lot more strength, an unprovided tool, or may not be a feature of this product. Finally, it requires a bit of a reach & a twisting motion down close to the floor in order to release the swivel seat, and my wife cannot reach it."
